Skala invests R$ 150 million in a new factory and accelerates international expansion

Company marks 40th anniversary, boosts production capacity by 60%, and is already present in 87 countries

Skala Brasil is marking its 40th anniversary with a new phase of expansion. The company is investing R$ 150 million to build a factory in Uberaba (Minas Gerais), while also advancing its internationalization and brand repositioning efforts.

Construction of the new facility is set to begin in 2026, with completion scheduled for 2028. According to the company, the plant will increase current production capacity by 60% and support projected growth over the coming years.

The company reports high double-digit sales growth for 2026 and expects to maintain double-digit growth over the next five years.

Today, Skala has a presence in 87 countries and in more than half of Brazilian households. According to Nielsen data cited by the company, the brand holds a 16.7% volume share of the hair care market.

“We hold a very significant position in Brazil, but there is still room to grow both here and in other markets,” says Luis Delfim, CEO of Grupo Bora Brasil.

The industrial expansion coincides with the company’s rebranding as Skala Brasil. The shift includes a new visual identity, a portfolio reorganization, and a communication strategy more closely tied to the brand’s Brazilian roots.

In recent years, the company has also expanded its presence into new categories, such as hair oils and masks designed for hair care regimens.
